Mecca Max | Bourke Street

After years of planning and development, Mecca has finally unveiled its flagship store in the heart of Melbourne - officially the largest cosmetics store in the world. Sprawling over three-stories, this retail wonderland is a one-stop-shop for all the best brands in cosmetics, health and beauty. It is a project of epic scale and ambition.

As part of the momentous vision, Room One worked with Mecca to design and deliver a fleet of retail fixtures for Mecca's in-house brand, Mecca Max. Brass, acrylic, and high-chroma painted surfaces merge to create a dynamic and engaging backdrop for the Mecca Max product.

Two large gondola displays compliment a central island table, where customers can test out product under the guidance of an in-house Mecca beauty specialist. Materials are tactile and vibrant, engaging all the senses up-close and from afar.
