The ‘waffle sole’ has been an iconic part of Vans shoes since 1966. For the brand’s Chadstone shopping centre store, we looked to this classic sole to create a truly unique space which has helped the brand stand out.
Continuing the sense of nostalgia and brand equity in Vans’ designs, we created a central display with a checkerboard pattern which was made famous by the movie ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’.
For the apparel racks, we adopted the shape of the side stripe, the recognisable logo featured on Vans classic and performance shoes. For the wallpapers and graphics, we integrated the ‘Off the wall’ brand statement.
From every angle, the new shop fit-out of Vans at Chadstone creates an immersive brand experience by paying homage to its proud heritage.
